Safety, Stability and Well-being
Domestic violence threatens the security and stability of families and does lack of access to health care.
NPLS provides a full range of services in all counties for:
- Protection from Abuse matter for petitioners who are unable to successful present their case without an attorney
- Medical Assistance and Medicare
NPLS may provide some assistance, depending on the county for:
- Protection from abuse and custody problems not listed above
- Other health issues – insurance, quality of care, and denial of treatment
- Advance planning – health care directives
- Mental heath commitments
NPLS provides self-help material and community workshops on rights in safety, stability and well-beings and is available to train advocates and community organizations.
