PALawHelp
PALawHelp is a statewide legal services web site, administered by the
Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN). PALawHelp contains links to legal education and self-help material developed by a variety of
legal services programs, including NPLS, and governmental agencies. It lists contact information for legal aid
services in Pennsylvania. Similar statewide websites are in operation in all states.
Through a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service called BenefitsCheckUp, older adults can now screen themselves for more than 1,000 federal and state benefits in the privacy of their own home through the Internet.
A new Food Stamp Estimator is now available on PALawHELP.org. The program will estimate the amount of Food Stamps a potential recipient may be entitled to. The user must be prepared to give information about the potential recipient's income, expenses and resources. This program is for Pennsylvania residents only.
