Assistance to Populations with Special Vulnerabilities

Some individuals, often living outside the context of a family, may be especially vulnerable and who may for a variety of reasons have difficulty fending for themselves Access to legal assistance may be critical.

NPLS provides a full range of services in all counties for:

Children denied enrollment to school

NPLS may provide some assistance, depending on the county for:

Preparation of wills, living wills, health care directives and powers of attorney for seniors
Probation of decedent’s estates
Nursing home and boarding home quality of care issues
Special education placement
Quality of education
School discipline
Powers of attorney for non-seniors

NPLS provides self-help material. Community workshops are available to train advocates and community organizations.

NPLS provides no services prisoners rights or prison conditions, immigration and naturalization, Indian and tribal affairs, and discrimination except as identified above.
