Pennsylvania’s child custody laws regarding standing for grandparents and third parties have expanded within the past several years. The 2010 custody law gave grandparents standing to pursue custody of their grandchildren in certain circumstances. Pennsylvania statute 23 Pa. C.S.
Pennsylvania has taken strides to expand the ability to limit access to one’s criminal record. There are various methods in Pennsylvania to limit access to or erase (expunge) criminal records, but they all require different processes and some methods can only be used on certain types of records.
NPLS has been devoting time this year to reflect on our strengths and challenges and to set our sights on the future. One small but important part of our internal reflection and future planning process has been the adoption of a new mission statement:
