NPLS COVID-19 Statement and Updates

North Penn Legal Services provides essential services to many of the most vulnerable in our society, and as the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis continues, the need will be great. NPLS is closely monitoring developments in our service area and will make changes to our services as necessary for the safety of our staff and clients.

Latest NPLS Service Updates

NPLS offices are now closed to the public, as per Governor Wolf’s emergency order directing closure of the physical offices of many businesses. WE ARE STILL OPEN TO SERVE OUR EXISTING CLIENTS by phone, email and text. We are transitioning our staff to work remotely, and will limit new applications at this time to online applications. We expect to develop helplines in the coming days. We apologize for any inconvenience as we learn and adjust how we provide help.

Unless absolutely necessary, we will schedule all meetings, hearings, etc. by phone. Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ordered ALL courts to be closed until at least April 30. Courts are closed to the public, except for emergency protective orders and other emergencies.

Remember, you can apply online anytime:, but we ask you to understand that response times may be delayed.

We have postponed all outreaches and clinics, and we will provide updated county and state court plans as they respond to this emergency.

We understand that this is a time of great stress, and we are committed to providing safe ways to continue our service to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are here for you.
