This session will provide a basic overview of the two Social Security Disability Benefits programs and how the Social Security Administration (SSA) adjudicates disability claims. Information will be provided on the difference between SSI and SSDI, the SSA definition of disability, the five step sequential process, and the claims process from initial application to federal district court appeal.
