Our Sunbury office has an opening for a part-time attorney.  Details of the position are below.
The Sunbury office of North Penn Legal Services represents low income clients from Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties in civil matters and in administrative cases.  The current staff includes two attorneys, one paralegal, one intake worker and one legal secretary.

NPLS will be closed on December 24 - 25 and December 31 - January 1.  Some local offices will also be closed on the following dates.

Bethlehem Office:  Closed on December 26 and January 2.

Bloomsburg Office:  Closed on December 26 and January 2.

Honesdale Office:  Closed on December 26.

Pittston Office:  Closed on December 26 and January 2.

Stroudsburg Office:  Closed on December 26 and January 2.

Sunbury Office:  Closed on December 26 and January 2.

Towanda:  Closed on December 26.

Partial Physical Custody Obtained for Mother:

LOS ANGELES — Lorenza and German Artiga raised six children in a rent-controlled bungalow here, their only home since they moved from El Salvador 29 years ago.
So they were stunned this past summer when their landlord served them with eviction papers, claiming that their 12-year-old granddaughter Carolyn, whose mother was killed in a car crash in 2007, was an illegal occupant.
